Settings for nikon d90?

I recently borrowed a nikon d90 from a friend so I could take pics of my reef tank. Any recommended settings? I was using the macro mode, no flash, and auto iso. For some reason, I can't change the white balance settings.

I took some pics but I can't seem to capture the same colors that I see thru the view finder. I'm guessing this is a white balance issue. Also, I'm having a hard time capturing very detailed pics of my fish... most of the pics are a bit blurry.

any recommendations?

A tripod or something stable to sit the camera down on is recommended. Use the self-timer if you don't have a remote shutter release. G'luck!

You can get a remote for the D90 for like $5.
