Wolv what would the cost be to upgrade that unit to 250? Call current and ask.

just got off the phone with them. The electronic ballast would be external because they would be bigger. Not a problem. But the price is crazy! $125 each for the ballast, sockets $42 each bulbs XM mention $75 each over $500 just to upgrade. Crazy!! I might as well by retro and do a canopy. Let me know if you know who is selling one.

YOu could always sell your current one and then order a new one. Having no lights on the tank for a few days to a week will be ok. If you order from premium aquatics their UPS ground gets here in two to three days. An MR vender may be even quicker.
