The wierd part is when i asked if they feed them. They said no and they also had them under regular power compacts. Not optimal conditions for that animal. I wouldnt be suprised if they died there.
I am clownfish and anemone enthused but your taking a great risk purchasing these anemones especially after hearding the husbandry methods at AB fish.
I was completely amazed by the lack of care for such a high priced animal.
This is the same place that is selling those BS Snowflake clownfish for 299.99 a fish.... BLAHHHHH
Your better off getting a Bubble tip from a fellow reefer. Right now i have a purple base green tentacle bubble tip. Looks close to a mag but the tentacles are much deeper green then on purple base mags. The purple base mags have mostly flourescent green tentacles.
Leave the mags in the ocean. They are the most diffucult to care for.
Most will perch them selves as high on your rock work as possible, and dont be mistaken the anemone will kill everything in its path. Btas can be non agrresive.
BTW there is only one place i have seen a CB Mag and it cost 500 bucks. A guy had a 3 foot one split into three.
and let me get my big enough to split. If not keep checking dosterfostersmith. They had one i got it and it showed up in 62 degree water. My two RBTA's started to show agreesive behavior toward it as well. Leading me to beleive the one i got from DRFOSTERSMITH was not a BTA.
Rarely will BTAS attack their own kind.
Im gonna post pics of my whole tank in general discussion check out the two 12 inch RBTAS
