Tank Drilling...

I have a 30 gallon hexagon tank im looking to have drilled for center overflow & return plumbing. Anyone know of a lfs that can drill a tank. Im looking to stay in brooklyn, queens or manhattan. Thanks all,

You should find out if the bottom of the tank is tempered, if so it can't be done..

I don't believe the bottom is tempered. I am aware that tempered cannot be drilled but I'm not 100% sure that it is not tempered. Is there a way to tell other than contacting the manufacturer? I don't know who makes the tank and there are no labels.

looking through polarized glasses I have heard of but never tested the idea.. I think Russ or Jim knows how or might even be able to drill for you..

JV good talking to you. I know Mike has drilled more than a few tanks. He's definitely much more geographically desirable than we are. Give him a shout and see if he can hook you up.

Unfortunatley Ive had to scrap that project... another one bites the dust! :irked: Im in the middle of a major remodel and its taking alot longer than I thought it would thanks all for the direction.
