I’ve spotted this awesome image while browsing through Australia official Facebook page. It’s a juvenile Harlequin Tusk Wrasse (Lienardella fasciata) photographed in Australia’s Gold Coast Waters Harlequin Tusk Wrasse is an awesome-looking fish from West Indo-Pacific region. It has bold coloration and characteristic large, blue teeth that gives it a fearsome appearance. It is, however, rather semi-aggressive fish that gets along well with similar sized fish (it gets to around 10″ in aquarium). Reef-safe with caution, it won’t nip at corals but can eat small mobile invertebrates like shrimps and crabs.  It’s a great addition to tanks 100g and larger and one of the most unique-looking wrasses on the reef. “Like” Australia on facebook to see this and more great photos of this beautiful continent’s best places, animals and plants.
