Incredible Frogfish Photos

The new issue of Anima Mundi is out and it has a featured article on frogfish with some groundbreaking photography.  I for one had no idea there were so many different varieties of camouflage, and what is really incredible is their ability to mirror the randomness of the reef terrain as well as the intricacies of tunicates and sponges on their bodies.  This article is focused on finding them underwater (basically they don’t hide, they sit right in front of you), as well as describing some common patterns in their camouflage.  Check out the new issue for all of the photos (there are a LOT of them).
