Eviota erdmanni, a new dazzling dwarf goby

Fresh holotype coloration (M.V. Erdmann).

Eviota erdmanni is only known from the Savu Sea, at Ende, south Flores, Indonesia.  It was named in honor of Dr. Mark V.  Erdmann, who played major roles in discovering and describing many of the newly species of reef gobies we’ve reported on in recent years, including E.erdmanni.

The species is described in The Journal of the Ocean Science Foundation.
