Live Aquaria, Located in Rhinelander, Wisconsin and led by director Kevin Kohen, has just been bought by Gardena, California-based Tropical Fish International. While this is an unexpected move, we don’t have a lot of details just yet, especially in terms of how this will change distribution, quality, and more. The former is well-known in our industry for having top-quality fish and other livestock. In their own words:

“LiveAquaria is committed to offering sustainably raised aquatic life that is either aquacultured or responsibly harvested, which includes careful attention to both the animals and the habitat.

LiveAquaria offers you the best shopping experience possible for quality aquarium and pond supplies, live foods, frozen foods, dry foods, freshwater and marine fish, pond fish, corals, invertebrates and live plants. . . all at great prices. Our aquatic team takes extraordinary measures to ensure that all aquatic life receives the best possible care until they arrive safely to your home.

We back up our commitment to excellent customer service & healthy aquatic life by providing you with a Live Arrival Guarantee for Expert-Only Aquatic Life, 14-Day Guarantee for fish, plants, corals, and invertebrates, and an unprecedented 30-Day Guarantee for our Certified Captive Grown Corals!

Simply put, our SigNature® Shipping is the best in the industry. Because our first concern is for the health of the aquatic life we offer, we have developed the safest, most stress-free shipping system in the industry.

Only the most experienced and responsible suppliers in the industry get to work with us – those who share our commitment to the preservation of our oceans and the life within them. To protect our natural resources, we support companies investing in aquacultured and captive-bred species.”

We here at Reefs.com wish the company success in this next chapter, and we look forward to seeing what develops!

DO NOT BUY FISH FROM HERE!I purchased 5 fish from here.experienced aquarist.fish were quarintined.2 fish died within 7 days.sent in the forms for the guarantee and NEVER got a response.Another 2 died soon after.only have 1 left after spending so much money on fish and the insane shipping cost. Also, website clearly states a size range. We purchased bigger fish because if not they would be eaten by the other fish and we received all tiny tiny baby fish forcing them to be quarintined for years had they not all died anyway.BUYER BEWARE!!
