Project Oceanology Remote Learning Opportunities Still Available!

If your 2nd-4th grader loves everything marine-related (or you do and want them to catch the bug), Project Oceanology still has spots available for their fantastic remote classes! Each session meets virtually once a week for 1.5 hours (3pm – 4:30pm EST) and costs $150, which includes all materials needed for the class. Project O sends each student a kit by mail as soon as registration is completed so I recommend registering soon! From Project O’s website:

“Investigate the ocean right from your home, through a series of fun, engaging, hands-on activities! You’ll receive a box of supplies at the beginning of the program and then meet live with our educators in Google Classroom once a week for 1.5 hours as they lead you through a series of scientific experiments, explorations, craft project, stories, and games specially designed for grades 2 – 4. Includes access to follow-up activities that parents and students can use to extend the learning in your backyard or your kitchen. This class is designed to be entertaining and interactive – keeping hands busy and minds engaged! We hope you join us on the adventure.

Junior Explorers at Home is designed to support student progress toward meeting the Next Generation Science Standards for grades 2 – 4, and can easily be integrated with homeschool, remote learning, or in-school curricular plans.

Has your student attended a previous session? Each session is different so we encourage students to sign up for multiple sessions!”
