Description

The Cyphastrea genus corals have turned out to contain some very exotic and interesting color morphs. This new Minefield Cyphastrea is a fine example of that. The base pigmentation is a solid steel blue. Corallite mouths are bright blue while corallite septa ridges are bright white blue. Corallites also contain some green pigment patterns. The density of corallites is low and they are spread out over the surface of this encrusting species. Photo and text courtesy of Reeffarmers.
