Another incredible staghorn coral from the captive reef of Uchin Chong. The Blue Diamond Staghorn has an incredibly bright blue coloration. Branch stems have blue pigments that occur around dark brown lines of healthy symbiotic algae. Up close the blue branches are actually blue lined branches. Polyps however fluoresce solid bright blue. From a distance the staghorn branches appear solid blue, while the polyps are slightly extended.
