The Curious Wormfish is an unusual, fascinating reef fish. They are sensitive to poor water quality and stress from handling and shipping. House this species in an aquarium of at least 30 gallons with a fine sandy substrate for burrowing at night. The aquarium must have a tight fitting lid with no gaps, as Curious Wormfish most often die in captivity from jumping. They are cryptic and difficult to feed. Offer meaty foods like mysis shrimp. Use enriched live adult brine shrimp to entice finicky eaters. Choose small, peaceful tank mates that won’t injure or intimidate the shy Curious Wormfish.
