Description

Meiacanthus oualanensis x nigrolineatus ORA Canary Hybrid Blenny is the result of crossing our popular Blackline Blenny with the beloved Canary Blenny. What we obtained was a nearly perfect mix of both species. The Canary Hybrid is yellow-green overall with the distinctive black stripe inherited from the Blackline Blenny. They are active and peaceful toward other fish, the only exception being similarly shaped blennies. Interestingly this was not an intentional hybrid. It was the result of one fish jumping into another’s tank. All Fang Blennies have high metabolisms and should be fed small amounts at least 2-3 times a day. They will accept a wide assortment of prepared foods and make themselves visible in the water column most of the time. The Canary Hybrid Blenny should be provided with ample rockwork in which to hunt and hide when threatened. Photo by ORA
