Description

The Masked Goby (Coryphopterus personatus) is a small, eye-catching goby that is a must have for any nano reef aquarium. Their bodies are translucent with red and white patterns running along the mid portion of their sides. We’ve seen them grow to a maximum size of 1.75 inches. Throughout the tropical western Atlantic, the Masked Goby can be found in schools hovering above coral heads and caves. They are protogynous hermaphrodites, can be kept in groups and will readily spawn in captivity. We were shocked to see some of our own fish spawning as early as 100 days after hatching! Feeding this species is not a challenge but they do require smaller frozen food and pellets than your average aquarium fish. Photo by ORA
