They will eat small ghost shrimp but mostly are reef safe. It is best to use feeding tongs to avoid bites, which can easily become infected. Juveniles start off black but turn to blue as they become adults. You must have a good, tight-fitting cover on your tank, as they’re escape artists and most will climb out of the tank and die.
