A spectacular deep-water species, and my favorite damsel. May become more boisterous as it grows larger, but still not as so as other damsels. The yellow on the upper part of the body seems to darken under intense lighting. Keep it well fed and provide lots of hiding places. In the wild they are often found in deeper sections of the outer reef about 20 to 60 m in depth.
