The Thread-sail Filefish (Stephanolepis cirrhifer) is one of the most aggressive filefish I’ve owned. These fish are best left to FOWLR tanks and housed with other aggressive fish. They are known to nip at eyes of other fish. These fish max out at about 12 inches. They will eat pretty much anything offered to them. They are from sub-tropical Japan so keeping them in a temperature of 75 degrees works best.
