*NEWBIE ALERT*
Forgive me if this is painfully obvious to some, but I don't really have anyone to ID this for me! I've been able to find plenty to read on hair algae and diatoms - but NO photos!
Mostly brown (although more green and mossy on the live rock and back glass.) Completely covering the substrate and live rock, smells 'sickeningly sweet', and algae blenny won't touch the stuff. Hermits could be eating it or maybe just stirring it up?
Forgive the blurry pics.
Temp: 79-80
Ammonia/Nitrites/Nitrates: undetectable
Lighting - 12hrs VHO actinic blue & 11hrs VHO 10k full spectrum
Tank Dwellers: 12 Scarlet hermits
4 large Mexican Redleg hermits
2 Green Chromis
1 Algae Blenny
12 mixed snails (astrea/turbo)
Thanks in advance!
