what kind of creature?

I have something that lives in a hole in my rock. It shoots out about 10-20 "hairs" about 4 or 5 inches long...looks just like brown human hair....onto the sand. Then it hauls the hair with sand on it back into the rock. After a white it shoots out a puff of sand along with the hairs again.
Any ideas?

It a Terbellid (sp?) worm. They are good guys. People pay to put these guys in their sand bed because the are detritus eaters (help clean up the tank).

P.S. looks like you've been spending time looking at the little critters in the tank, one of my favourite past times.

I can't believe how many new things I see when I look in that tank. It makes me mad that I can't see the back side!....lol....I wonder what's back there???
