i don't have a picture so i'll do the best i can:

i only see it at night when i shine the flashlight. it looks like a wet cottonball. (can you visualize this?) but if i wait long enough, i can see little antennae, a siphon and a mouth that looks just like a snail. it grazes on the rock. why is the shell (?) so soft? oh, and it's about the size and shape of a large curd of cottage cheese (not smooth like a hardened shell).

don't cowrie's have a hard shell though? this guy's soft, almost fuzzy. and he's creammy colored.

i'll do some research and see if i can find him online somewhere. thanks for trying to help, guys.

okay, i ouldn't find him online anywhere. but i got a better look at him last nite. he has a blue slug body and his "house" looks just like a cream colored sponge, porous and fuzzy. he's actually quite neat.
