Tube worms, very small feather duster type. Its very common to find them, especially when a tank is just starting up or if you need regularly. They are part of the normal progression.

actually, my tank is 18 months old here and my sump and new 3 month old refugium has TONS OF THESE!! every time I clean my skimmer/calcium reactor they cut my hands!!!

Yeah, thats a common thing to find. My overflows are horrible! But, they are indeed small "feather duster" type worms that filter feed and build calcium based skeletons. They are a good sign that the tank has a good bit of food for them and the corals.
