About a month ago, seen for about 2 seconds a light greenish/brown crab ~1" across the shell. Wife seen it again yesterday trying to make a grab on a BL hermit (dropped it), but in a different area.

Know the description is vague, won’t be able to get pictures as seen only very shortly twice in two months, but should I be worried?

75gal, 40# Figi LR, couple of clowns, shy yellow wrasse, few snails and BL hermits.

Sounds like an emerald crab. If it is, then you'll be fine since it picks at algae and only algae. They're quite secretive and you probably won't see it often.

Emerald crabs are pretty bright green and have red joints on their arms. Most crabs are predatory, and if it was trying to eat your hermit that can't be good. If it's not an emerald you should try and get it out.

my emerald is kinda dull green, almost brown if he is hanging out in the shadows

one time i thought he was trying to eat a hermit, but he was actually trying to eat the algae on its shell
