Sorry, no pics. I've got 3 clams on my new rock. Very boring looking really, no pretty colored mantles, the outer shells are covered with barnacles, coral, and algae. All of them are attached facing downwards, so I only assume they are not clear water or light lovers. The shells are not pefectly half moon shaped, but somewhat serrated like some scallops.
I know a specific ID is probably not possible with that description, but really my more important question is should I worry about feeding them?
Maybe add some liquid or frozen plankton occasionally? Or will filter feeding shellfish also filter flake food and detritus? While they aren't particularly exciting creatures, I'd like to keep them alive.
