small shrimp looking creatures ???

About a week ago I lowered my salinity to 1.019 to assist in battling a Ich problem. Last night I noticed a bunch of small, clear looking shrimp things swiming around in the water. Could these guys come from inside the live rock? Any idea as to what they are? Are they dangerous?

Without seeing a picture it's hard to speculate, but typically small clear shrimp are amphipods. Have a look around this page in our Hitchhiker FAQ: http://www.reefs.org/hhfaq/pages/main_p ... _water.htm and see if anything looks familiar.

Thanks for the info. They appear to be mysid shrimp. Glad they are not
harmfull..was not looking forward to putting on my wet suit for a quick dive in to ride my tank of them..lol
