Well, I thought that too because of their uncanny daisy appearance, but they have no frilly bits or anything that look slike any daisy polyp I can find online or in books. They do not appear to be attached to each other either. Any other ideas? :(

Look like regular old clove polyps to me - I think the latin genus is Clavuria. I have a small colony in my tank - let me snap a pic and see if it matches yours.
