some type of coral maybe?

I got at least 10 of these coral looking things all over my LR. They're very cool and I plan to keep them unless they're hurting something in my system. Anyone wanna venture a guess here? Thanks

That's no coral! That's Aiptasia! Most folks don't like 'em.

aw crap, i did hear bad stuff about them, haha.... do they pose any danger to the other critters in my tank? only other verts I got in there that i care about are my shroom's and shrimp

Yes they multiply like crazy and are aggressive toward other corals and inverts and end up taking over your tank. Let loos a few peppermint shrimp in your system and that should do the trick

what about this guy? I've got several of these too. It looks similar to the aiptsai (sp?) except that it's tenticles are clear and transparent instead of tan and the base of it seems like its calcium derived and like encrusted into the LR... in other words if it died there would be a permanent round calcium deposit on the rock. I tried to get a good pic of it but because it's clear it's a little hard to see. Anyways, I'm wondering if this sounds like aiptsai too? BTW, it appears to be nocturnal.

The Aiptasia looking thing could also be a curlicue anemone. Look at the tentacle and see if it's monochrome, or striped. If it's monochrome, it's likely to be the dreaded Aiptasia anemone. If striped, it's not the dreaded anemone, but could also be undesirable.

The clear-tentacled thing is almost certainly a coral, though I have a hard time looking at your picture. I would guess Phyllangia americana, "hidden cup coral."
