....what the tiny things are swimming around in my tank are???
they appeared after the halide went out whilst the actinics are still lit.
they look almost like baby brine shrimp but i have never added live brine?
there are literally thousands of them swimming around.
the only odd thing is one of my polyps (out of a large colony has a really.... really flourescent green centre tonight?? nothing coming out of it though??
i first noticed it when i saw the green chromis darting in and out of their night-time bolt holes. the cleaner shrimps are going mad feeding as well.
i feed 3 times day 1 pinch of fresh/refrigearated nori 2 cubes of brine,mysis or emerald entree and 1 small pinch of dried food just before lights out.


the only change to the tank was adding a mandarin last sunday.
hope anyone can help as the tank is teeming at the moment.
i tried getting a pic but they were just too small to get in shot with my cam. by the time i had thought to take a shot at the polyps the actinics had gone out for the night.

I've had cleaners have baby shrimp (pretty sure it was the cleaners might have been the pepermint) an it was suddenly a food frenzy and every last thing that would eath them was having a recreation of thanksgiving dinner in front of a lion's game.

I think almost all baby shrimp look really similar Prior to the feeding frenzy I saw one of the cleaners carrying around something under its back half held there it looked like by the little legs, but I didn't get a clear look.

Oh and PS, shrimp are bad parents and do eat their young I believe
