Crab, probably bad, what do you think?

Looks like some sort of stone crab.

At any rate, any crab (with the exception of filter feeding crabs) has the potential to want to create its own detritus to eat, as opposed to eating naturally occurring detritus...

This is not a filter feeding crab.

The good bad ID & annotation were made by Richard Londeree at TBS.

The easiest way to tell the Porcelain crabs (good) from everybody else (bad) is by counting the number of legs behind the main claws. Porcelain crabs have 1 fewer pair of legs (only 3 pairs) behind the main claws.

I'm confused, they all seem to have 3 pairs of legs behind the front claws.... :?

Look at Mr. Bad at the very top of the picture.

Mr. Bad at the 9 o'clock position has some legs hidden underneath, but is also a red emerald.

There's a decorator in the pic too.

I'm going to try to link an old post I made here with a great shot of the red emerald.
