Astrea Snail

Just added an Astrea Snail to my tank, hes been hanging at the top of the tank half out of the water for the last several hours, should I be worried? Also I added a new piece of live rock and am hearing a clicking sound once every few minutes?

Snail should be fine.Clicking sound could be a mantis shrimp or pistol shrimp{what type of LR?}Take out the new piece of LR..if you want to be safe,soak it in soda water for a few minutes.If it's a mantis shrimp this will flush him out.

Astreas will pull themselves up out of the water while they are still aclimating to the new conditions.

heh, actually, they'll do it pretty much any time for that matter too, but especially when acclimating.

Thats actually how I acclimate them to my tanks.. - I just hold them near the water line until they reach their foot out to grab onto the glass. - Once they have a hold on it, I let go and let them adjust to the water on their own.
