thx, jb :D

i was thinking along the lines of the nephthea group. i wasn't sure though, seeing as it seems to be fairly hardy and fast acclimating :D

the pic doesn't do it justice, btw-the bottom of the stalk is a blue-ish grey, fading into a neon greenish on the rest of the main stalk, the polyp stalks are a dark color (heh) and the polyps (tufts) appear to be a light blue, when it's extended (which is most of the day and a fair portion of the nite)

do these crackahs eat phyto, or zoo, plankton ?

I'm not a good person for advice on keeping this coral. I've had limited success with them.

Different sources say different things about it. Some say it uses zooxanthellae to varying degrees. Others say plankton, but are not specific on kind. Borneman suggests blowing 'small particulates' across the polyps. You might want to post in the GRF to see if anyone is having long-term success and ask how they are doing it.
