Found this crawling in my tank. id please

At first I thought it was a huge flatworm or some type of nudibranch, but when I tried to remove it I found that it had a hard shell covered by this blackish bluish flexible covering. It's about an inch long or so.

After I poked it once it revealed part of it's shell in the middle:

Any help iding this and letting me know if it's harmful or not would be greatly appreciated!

Scutus sp.
Harmless algae and diatom feeder, though may occassionally nibble on small sponges.

Man that's a load off my mind.
Hope I didn't hurt the little guy when I plucked him off of my rock work. His size kinda shocked me at first.
Thanks for the reference too. I hadn't see the Seaslug forum before.
