Experienced Reefer
I will be trying to get a pic put on today of this hitchiker I have found.

It is brown with fine hair on it's legs. Both front claws are the same size and the tips are a whitish color. It also has what looks like a racing stripe down the middle of it body. (two white stripes) It has red beady eyes.

Is this safe to keep in my tank or should I be worried? Should I put him in my sump.

Any ideas of what this could be would be much appreaciated. Again Pic later today.

Sorry for the quality of pics, I still haven't figured out the aquarium photography.

A good indication of primary diet is actually the shape of the claws. Herbiverous (less prone to eating things, although not outside of trying) crabs have flattened pincer tips for yanking out algae versus pointed or serrated edges for grasping prey.
