We are starting to notice some small brown square things growing on some of oue polyps, and on our candy coral. They will move when you try to touch them. Unfortunately, I have tried and can not get a good picture of them. It has been suggested to us that they are a form of flat worm. Also, we need to know how to get rid of them.

Are these what your talking about?:

They are a species of Acoel Flatworms. They are attracted to light so about 2 hours after your lights come on in the morning siphon them out. Continue this until they are gone otherwise they can reach plague proportions and can damage your corals by shading them.

David, can you please detail on the operation? If I shine a flashlight into the tank 2 hours after dark, say on a spot on a rock, they'll flock on that spot? How long will that take? Then siphon them out... and throw away the water? Can you really get rid of all of them (I also have a fuge, I assume I'll have to repeat for the fuge)?

Thanks,
Mihai
