possible stony coral?

I found this on a piece of live rock. i outlined it so that you can see it clearer. the left side is bare. the right side has what looks like they could be polyps. I attached a picture. hopefully you can figure out what it is from the outline

Well that could be a stony coral. Or it could be a slug, a sponge, a piece of wet newspaper, or a smudge on your lens

We need a more focused pic.

Nah, you can clearing see an opening. And considering the tapered shape, it can only be one thing.

Don't touch it. And don't look directly at it, you'll make it mad.
