I am not sure what this is. When I got the rock it had a cool skeleton formation on it so I faced that forward then these started to grow from it. Are these the original creatures coming back or something totally different.

Hmm, maybe Blastomussa? I'm bad at LPS corals. Looks cool whatever it is!

That kind of looks like it. The colors are a little different but that may just be the lighting. I hope that is it though. It sounds very easy to take care of and sounds like it may be a rare LPS. It has recently started to spread like crazy. I guess I am doing something right.

Thanks

WEll looks like lucky me. Seems like a rather easy coral to take care of and should do in my medium lighted tank.

Does anyone have any good information about these corals. I am confused by some information that I read on another site it stated.
"Feeding: Blastomussa is photosynthetic and does not take any known foods. " I do not think this is correct since mine eats brine shrimp. Should I stop feeding it?

Thanks for any info.

they can be fed, but i wouldn't recommend brine shrimp.they will do fine under good lighting w/out supplemental feeding, as well-it's considered a very easy coral to keep (and one of my top 3 my favorite lps corals)
