Husband has this little critter roaming about his tank. We believe we saw it eat a Regal Tang that was either already dead or perhaps ill. Can anyone ID this for us? We are thinking some sort of crab.
I think it is a common hairy reef crab not sure the scientific name for it Pilumnus Verspetillo? And yes it could have eaten a fish, but that fish being a tang it probably was dead though or real weak. Not totally reef safe.
