In the meantime...

I've looked up everyone guesses so far and not one of them match what I have.

Here are some more details...

When the 'mouth' is not open, all those little leafish fingers close up and the entire thing is pretty flat. You cannot tell where the 'mouth' is if you haven't seen it open before. There is no shell, nothing protudes, it is soft, but not slimy and doesn't move. It is attached pretty good to the rock.

Still sounds exactly like a bivalve to me. I'm pretty sure you have a clam or oyster. What you're seeing are the inhalent and exhalent siphons. When you disturb it its shell is closing.
