From all the research I've done so far, it seems this is some type of cup coral...anyone have a clue? These are the polyps I could get with the camera. On the rear of the same live rock, there is another group with a polyp so large it ate my bangaii cardinal! They seem to be doing well so far, and I've been target feeding them 2x a week. Any recommendations or guesses as to a specific ID? Thanks!

Guy, they look like juvenile anenomes embedded in algae to me!

The tiny white dots on the tentacles and the larger white bulb on the end led me to my guess. I can also see a calcareous skeleton in the first pic.

You are right about the calcareous skeleton Guy. When I first added that hunk of rock to the tank I figured whatever had been there originally had died off. Two weeks later, I come in to work and there they are. So am I correct in assuming this is only freom th tropical atlantic? I'm only wondering because it's supposed to be indo-pacific. Any recommendations on care? I've been feeding them thawed-out marine carnivore cubes twice a week, which they accept readily. Thanks everyone!
