I was wondering if anyone could help me id a critter that I found. It was in a Trach. brain. I noticed that the coral had a hole in it at the top of one of the lobes. Under closer investigation, I noticed that it there appeared to be something moving inside the hole. It looked to be the same kind of appendages that some crabs use to filter feed. I took the coral out and tried to poke the critter out. After it sat for a minute or two the critter floated out. Whatever it was, it looks to me like it was gravid at the time. Hopefully I got all the eggs out. I used Reef Dip and put it in QT for further observation. Anyone have any idea as to what the critter could be??

After looking at the pics, I was reminded that it had a "clear" shell to it, and appeared to have (maybe) 6 legs, and 2 dark colored fore-appendages. those might be the ones that I saw moving.

Your first picture is the best but even after I enhanced it and enlarged it, the best I can do is guess it's a species of amphipod. See if you can get a closer picture of the anterior and posterior of the critter.
