Got it on a rock that I bought a mushroom on. Was completely white craters, 2 days ago I discover pink polyps. Any ideas? The algae covered craters were also completely white.

Encrusting. Plus I took the pic through a magnifying glass and used the macro feature on my camera. the largest polyp is barely an 1/8 of an inch.

I would guess leptastrea. Maybe cyphastrea? Show us some more pics when it heals and keep up the good work!

Alveopora is my best guess. In the earlier pics it looked montastrea like but now, with the extension...
Alveopora has 12 tentacles. In the right direction though.

1st time I have seen one make such a come back.
They usualy just go straight to the crapper real quick.
Target feeding, now twice aweek, and having the tank stay a little more "dirty" then normal is seeming to help this guy out.

Thank god ! Some one else that actualy agrees with me that they do indeed require some what of a "dirty" enviorment to thrive. LOL!!!
Thats why they all usualy die less than a 3 months- a year in our reefs. To clean. I mean they are found at the base of the reef for God's sake! It only make sense since thats where the detrius collects LOL!
Kudos to  you sir!!!

Here's another view, the polyps closer to the bottom were being exposed to sunlight so I believe this is a turbid or deeper sp of goni.

Question from a cluless one (me) how do you maintain a "dirty" system without letting things go all to hell? Less skimming and maybe fewer water changes?

Or just dont be so fastidiuos about vacuming particulates off the substrate?

Looks like its loving whatever you are doing for it thats for sure. Cant tell its even the same animal.

It's a skimmerless system, I have a mini fuge going and prune every two weeks. I'm doing 48 oz wc's every other day and NO3 reads 5-10. I depend more on chemical filtration for help for excess DOM. I will post a before and after of my xenia frag too. Time span is two weeks. Sorry the bottom one was the before pic.
