Reefer
Evening everyone, I've got a brand new reef system (45 gallon tank, 65 lbs of LR, 40 lbs live sand) that has been up for 5 weeks now and while playing my routine game of 'what sorts of critters will make themselves known tonight' I noticed whatever is in the following pictures on a couple of my live rocks.

High resolution images (600k) are found here:

Any help identifying it would be appreciated.

EDIT: I think they might be Foraminiferans from the faq can someone confirm that for me?

Thanks,

Karl

Both pictures are Foraminiferans, harmless filter feeders.

Those are by far the best Id photos I have ever seen posted on a forum.
I wish they were all like that LOL!

David and others, thanks for the info and for the encouragement on my photos. As soon as I can figure out how best to shoot the other 2 things I cant ID in my tank (they're both on the backside of the rocks facing the back of the tank which is up against a wall) I'll send those up for as well.

Thanks again everyone,

Karl
