Hi All

I have something really strange in my 'fuge. A white, worm like object that is about an inch long. It 'swims' up to the surface in a squiggly type of motion and then drifts back down to near the sand. My baby occis are not in the slifghtest bit interested in it. Good or bad critter??? Any thoughts? I am worried that it is some form of parasite and am near to nuking it.....

As a thank you for reading this post, I have attached a pic of my rapidly growing pencil urchin- ID'd by this forum (Hitchhiker) Enjoy!

Its most like any one of a number of polychaete worms that more times than not turn out to be harmless scavengers. It takes a clear, very up close photo of its head and mouth parts to be able to attempt a specific ID of such worms. Not an easy thing to do..lol

Thanks Chuck

I tried to get a clear photo of it, that was impossible- let alone trying to get a closeup of the mouth 8O ! Gone off into the LS again, so I will just ignor it......
