Harlequin Shrimp. Pretty, isn't he? :D

Do you have any sea stars in your tank?

If you do and you like them, watch out as the shrimp will go after them. He means business too! He will eat your star within a week.

If you don't, the shrimp won't live long as their only diet is star's legs.

Actually I put him in and a starfish yesterday and today the starfish was already dead. And he was ontop of it.....That is crazy. But I believe it is worth to sacrifice a couple of stars for such a neat shrimp. I live in Panama so it easy for me to get him stars. Although I rather get him bristle rather the the pretty starfish....

Just keep some stars in another tank and prune off a leg every few days - they will grow back.

Judging by past posts by the smarter folks here, that harlequin eats only starfish legs...... make sure you have a ready, cheap and available live supply..... would personally love to keep one but they are not indiginous here and that is my collectable aim........
