Do I have Arcade-style "Pac Man Alien" Hitchhikers?

Ok, so the top image is a scale comparison of these guys to my 3/4 inch Clown who was in the same shot but slightly closer than one of the "Aliens". The lower image is just a blown up shot.

The aliens were acting like jelly fish and were kind of thrusting themselves directly upwards to the surface. Once there, they would just float back down a couple inches and then thrust themselves back upwards. I only noticed them when I had my pumps turned off for feeding time. They are so tiny that I am sure they would never be able to control their motion with my pumps turned on.

They look    What are they?

Yeah, I thought Jelly-Fish, but that would be crazy since I have had this tank going since early September. Would they take that long to hatch or whatever? Craaaaaaaaaaazy if they really are jelly-fish. I suppose they could have come in my Cheato that I got a few weeks ago.....

Any other opinions?

I've seen these things in my tank before, then they dissapeared as quickly as they came. Best I could figure was that it was some sort of coral bail out for reproduction (But I really have no idea. thats just an uneducated guess).

Those ARE jellyfish, they are the free swimming form of a hydriod I believe? I had them years ago and managed to ID them, and now it slips my mind what EXACTLY they are.

They lived in my tank full of baby cardinal fish I was raising, so I think I can fairly say they should be totally harmless, as I didn't loose a single baby from that batch.

Pretty trippy to watch huh?? Enjoy them while they last!

They are baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack. It really is weird how quick they show up and then disappear. This time they are on crack and swim around as quick as they can.

They appear to be the same species that show up within my system from time to time and have pinned down their source as being budded off from these schyphostome (reproductive polyps)

The free swimming medussa will stop from time to time and attach to the glass as shown, which can confused for hydroids.
