Active Reefer
Hey, just got my first reef together, and I've been spending every night staring at the life on the liverock, then I noticed this pretty close to my main output coming from the sump.

It's only 1/4" across right now if you go from absolute tip of one tentacle to the absolute tip of another. It kinda curled in whenever my camera lense was tapping the glass hard. I don't THINK it's aiptasia because it's not brown, and has way fewer tentacles than I've seen in aiptasia pictures. unless aiptasia looks like this when very young. hope not.

I'm glad I got that extension tube for my Canon anyways :D

edit: I noticed a kind of structure around it once the main lights turned out and the moonlights kicked in. Note the white spots at it's base, it's as if it's got some sort of hard base it's forming.

Hard to say when "they" are so small or so young, if it is developing a "hard" base, then it would be a coral.

I have some similiar examples listed within my Hitch hiker pages if you care to compare them.

They do look like aptasia, although there is a small posibility to be pseudocornylactis (spelling?).
