Weird Crab

I got this crab in my rock and have NO idea what it is. Its claws are longer than its body is wide, and it has smaller arms in front that is waves around, kinda like an anemone crab, except this crab waves them around to catch food particles, just like a barnacle. This should be a fun one for you crab experts.

Well I suppose noone has any ideas? Maybe I discovered something new! Ill call it "Awesome Crab" and it shall be my friend. lol

Need much better photos than the one provided, all I can see is half of a hermit crab.

Yea Im trying to get my digital camera to do close ups. That is the actual crab on the left. The one on the right is a hermit.

hay looks like a little crab i saw the onther night im my tank. The one in my tank was real fast and swam really fast. Did yours? Have no idea what kind of crab it is?

Check the crab section of my hitch hiker pages, I believe you have either a porcellanid or an anomuran speices.

lol I just saw that this was replied to. I finally found out what it is. It is an atlantic species of Porcelain Crab. Mine came from the St Johns River outlet into the ocean.

I can't tell from the pic, but make sure you check out the claws on this lil guy. If ye has pinted claws I'd definitly yank it if you have corals in there. If he has rounded clows hes's probably a herbivore.
