Need confirmation on ID please ..
what is this ? Stomatella varia ?
It has no disernable shell that I can tell I found it on the filter intake .
It moves quite fast . it looks to have hairs extending from the back . what a major pain to get this booger out .help :roll:

yes i have like 10-15 they are cool and like to be like snails my wife names them cuz she thinks they are like homeless and some how its my fault they were born without snails

The shell is where the purple is. It's there. Small and flattened but they do have one.

Hey so are you sure these guys are safe? I got a black one with a purple shell on its back, it was on my zoanthids. I just want to make sure it wont be bad.

Stomatella snails are totally, totally safe. They just come out at night and graze. Do not be alarmed if you look at your tank late at night and see many on the glass, they come out of the rockwork once it has been dark a while.

They come in many different color combos too. I think that is what the "varia" in it's name (Stomatella varia) refers to.
