2 corals on 1 rock ,,want to seperate

i was at my LFS today and saw a nice green mushroom rock so i bought it..
upon bringing it home i noticed it has some green button polyps on it ,
wondering how/if i can frag them off the rock with the mushrooms so they arent over grown

You should be able to split the rock with a hammer and a screwdriver, assuming you get a clean break and it doesnt shatter into a thousand parts Most LR is actually very soft.

that wold work except that the rock is coverd by large mushroom polyps that i dont want to spilt up/possibly hurt there is just a few button polyps on the rock with it ...i was thinking more along the lines of cutting it off... idk any sugesstions
