Looks like a bleached out mushroom that feel inside some rock work and is stretching for light to me.

What do I win?

i don't think it's a mushroom... it was cup shaped in the other tank and I have it in a rubbermade tote with live rock until the tank gets here tuesday... right under a light.. I moved the light over to get a picture... it's maybe 5 inches under the light (sunglo bulb I stole from our reptiles until the tank gets here). It came in as a hitchhiker.. so i don't know what the heck it is.. the woman I got the rock from thought it was an anemone.. but i don't think so...

I think you may have been right about it being a shroom... it has been under the sunglo bulb for awhile.. and is starting to flatten out... has the same shape as a shroom that was also in the tank.. I'll take a pic tomorrow and post it...

I had never heard of them going translucent though when they bleached.. then again I am a complete idiot with this stuff (but at least I admit it!)

Yea I bought a rock of shrooms lol from the store a while back and there was a hairy mushroom on the bottom I didnt know about. When I moved the rock a week or two later I discovered a totally pale mushroom that was days away from dying. And to my luck it actually died.....you do NOT want to smell a dead mushroom. The other ones are fine however. I actually still have its skeleton if you want to see it.

It is in fact a mushroom..its A Caribbean shroom Green/Blue Umbrella Mushroom. Any Light any water flow...

100% positive used to keep them...i live in Florida
