any ideas on what it is?
tried to post a pic but cant get one to work tried imageshack but no good so here goes

its bright white at first i thought it was an anemone but it was moving to fast, it is about 2-3" long and 3/4" wide has frills all they way down each side and its tail end tapers off, its eyes (or what i think are eyes are sticking straight up from the body and look like small white anemone (the shape of aptasia)

im clue less where to even start looking! but it hanging around my colt so any ideas welcomed. 8O

Without a picture it could be alot of things. If I were to guess and since it moves I'd say it's probably some genus and species of nudibranch that preys
on soft corals.

Just pluck them out with your fingers or tweezers if need be, also look for eggs they can just be scraped off the rock.

i took them off with tweezers but that was before i read this, so the thousands of eggs (or what must be eggs) what were swaying about like tiny coils of white sausages are still all over the rock. whats the chances of them not hatching bacause they are on the rock my colt is stuck to so dont want to yank it out to scrape it?

What are the chances of them not hatching? Slim to none.
Scrape what eggs you can off then watch for the juveniles when they hatch and pluck them out of the tank too. Time consuming but the only way if you don't want to disturb your coral.

what about squirting them with boiling water? (the eggs that is)

If the eggs are near the coral aren't you afraid of hurting the coral?
You might be able to cook :) some of the eggs that way though I'm not sure you'd kill them all.
